  1. To kind of continue the good vibes from the end of the episode, I want to thank you guys, again. You were talking about the mainstream Media’s attention to Hockey (other than the playoffs) and I couldn’t agree with you more. In fact, before I started listening to your show, I was itching for Hockey talk. It was the one sport that was never talked about, and it sucked that the only thing of Hockey I got was the scores. Then I discovered Podcasts, and found your show. I read the reviews and then gave it a listen. I loved it and each week seemed to get better and better. About a month into listening to your show, I was no longer itching for Hockey talk. I got almost 2 hours worth every week and you guys, today, are my favorite podcast, and I listen to quite a few. I look forward to your new episodes each week, and you guys are so good just talking about hockey and acting like real human beings that I would love to hang out with in a bar or something, that it really does make other sport podcasts looked really bad.

I think the thing I love most about this show, is that it feels very human to me. What I mean by that is I listen to other Sports podcasts and they always go for Shock value, drops, and trying to be funny. Yeah, they may be experts, but sometimes I feel as if they are only there because they love to hear themselves talk. With you guys, there are no gimmicks, there are no drops (Other than the boatrace, which is alright), and it’s just two guys talking passionately about a sport they, and I, love. Also, you guys don’t go out of your way to be funny, it just flows and the funny is there almost naturally. Oh, and you guys do a great job reading emails. I’ve never had an email read on the air (Honestly, I don’t write them other than here) and when you guys read my email about the Olympics, it actually did bring a small smile.

I was in a bad mood today because the Sharks were disappointing. I listen to your show, and it’s like things are going to be alright. Hockey is still awesome, and the Stanley Cup Finals, no matter what teams are going to be there, are going to be fantastic.

Thanks for an awesome show every week, and for as long as you do this show, I will always be a listener.

    Cheers,

    Greg – Bay Area, CA

  2. As above!

The interplay between you guys is the key to my enjoyment. You don’t necessarily agree with each other in all things, but when your opinions do differ, you state the case for each side, in a balanced, fair way.

Oh and it’s actually quite nice to listen to a podcast that isn’t swimming in profanity. Although Doug’s bleeped s**t made me laugh.

  3. Greg and Phillip,
It is always nice to hear how much people like the show. Sometimes it’s hard doing it every week especially if it’s been a hard day but reading how much people enjoy the show helps keep me motivated. It is appreciated.
