  1. That was an excellent recap of the Winter Classic! I enjoyed hearing Justin Baumgardner’s colorful details of all the festivities. I also didn’t understand the Canadian anthem being sung at a US-based teams home game, but others have informed me that that is standard practice at all Sabres games.

Thanks to you both for well executed plays every week!

  2. Good episode guys, as always. The Winter Classic, while not being a particularly great game in itself, was extremely fun to watch, if only to see 70,000 + hockey fans in the seats and on NBC. Having an outdoor game once a year would be nice, any more than that and I think it would lose some of it’s magic. In fact, I’d have to agree with Eddie in saying that once every TWO years would be better. They should alternate the location between America and Canada and have it be between a team from each nation. That would probably provide even greater incentive for sports fans (not only hockey fans) to tune in. That would also justify playing the national anthems from both countries!

  3. i figure the reason why the canadian athem was sung is because buffalo has a great canadian fans who attends games throught out the season. buffalo bills also have a lot of canadian fans at the games so i figure they they sung it out of courtesy.
